There are currently many problems that one should avoid in writing. We are seeing a host of extremely overused words located in sentences such as academic prose. I remember an interesting article written by a person that I knew in graduate school. I feel that one should avoid extremely academic prose, but she was utilizing abstract language and alot of adjectives in order to get her paper to sound more intelligently. It is not the adjectives I was objecting to, per se. Hopefully she understood the rationale which I was basing my objection upon.  But there is a point when I feel everybody  have to stand up for the English language. Presently, the woman that I knew is not speaking to me. But overall, I feel I did the right thing. It is a known fact that prior to our century, everyone prided themselves on good writing, good diction, etc. etc. Hopefully theres' a day coming when we can write good agian.
